Many patients with cognitive impairment have anxiety or depression, but standard treatments are difficult for people with memory issues. This excellent New York Times article describes new therapies to help patients with dementia cope with depression.  I could have used this information when my dear Richard was facing depression re: his Parkinson’s and Lewy-body dementia, and I hope you find it helpful now.
